Friday morning the Jewish leaders brought Jesus before Pontius Pilate. Pilate asked them what charge they had against Jesus. Pilate told the Jews to take Jesus back and judge him according to their own laws. The Jews then said that they were not allowed to put a man to death. Pilate asked him if he was the King of Jews, Jesus answered Pilate that his kingdom was not of this world. If he was of this world, his servants and friends would not have allowed him to be captured.
